Darkwing Duck could return to action thanks to a new project for the Disney streaming platform. Although everything is just in the initial stages, they have revealed that Disney Plus is developing a reboot of Darkwing Duck.

For now, the project has not hired a writer, however, Variety reports that the eventual return of Drake Mallard and his companions will be produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver and Alex McAtee from Point Gray Pictures.

The original series Darkwing Duck, premiered in 1991 and during three seasons explored the adventures of the superhero duck. This show was related to DuckTales, and in fact, Darkwing Duck was recently featured in a special from that series reboot.

All things considered, this Disney wager gives us something to look forward to, although for now, everything indicates that we will have to wait until they reveal more details about it.
