Ben Affleck’s last appearance as Batman should be in The Flash.
After Ben Affleck announced his departure of the Batman role, the future of the character in the DC films was uncertain. In 2020, it was announced that the actor would reprise and work alongside Michael Keaton, two people will carry the mantle of Batman in The Flash, as well as, Robert Pattinson in a solo movie.
However, DC appears to have resolved how Bruce Wayne will continue in theaters, because the company plans two “movie sagas”: one with Keaton and one with Pattinson. The information was disclosed by NME.
Robert Pattinson stars in The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves, whose debut is scheduled for March 2022. The universe of this film will be different from what we’ve seen in the DCEU so far, a sort of, parallel reality.
In an interview with The New York Times, Walter Hamada, president of DC Films, explained how two Batmans will exist at the same time, and who, between Affleck and Keaton, will take the character forward.
In the conversation, the existence of two versions of Bruce Wayne is described as “parallel worlds where different versions of the same character exist simultaneously”, so the franchise “will have two different film sagas involving Batman – played by two different actors – running at the same time. . “
After the interview was published, a Twitter user asked the author, Brooks Barnes, to clarify which actor would join Pattinson in Batman’s double acting line.

This could only imply a Batman Beyond film considering Michael Keaton’s age. All we can do now is wait and see how DC moves forward with this.
