Disney has released the first trailer for Cruella, in which Emma Stone plays the volatile and malevolent villain from 101 Dalmatians in a live action. And instantly, the internet has caught a blaze with comments from people comparing her to Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.

The preview made it clear that the film will focus on the issues, both personal and social, of Cruella De Vil. A young woman who is unwavering and she is not afraid of offending or being controversial.

“I’m a woman, hear my roar,” says Stone in the trailer, and although the comparisons are odious, both her aesthetic and her personality are awfully reminiscent of the Joker couple.

Thus, a few moments after the release of the trailer, social media has been filled with comments from fans and detractors who see Cruella as “Disney’s Harley Quinn.” Obviously, there are great differences between the two characters, but it is undeniable that their character coincides on many levels.
