The star who wore the ‘Captain America’ mantle returns to the cinema, to play another iconic pop culture character. However he is not portraying a superhero from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but one of the protagonists from the ‘Toy Story’ saga. It was confirmed that Chris Evans will be Buzz Lightyear, in his solo film.
During the Investor Day event organized by Disney that was held this Thursday, December 10, several projects of the brand were announced, including Pixar films, and the one that has caught the attention of the public is the spin-off of Woody’s best friend.
‘Lightyear’ will be the title of the film, which will not focus on Andy’s toy, but on the real Buzz Lightyear, the rookie pilot who becomes the defender of the galaxy and to increase the “to infinity and beyond” expectations, they revealed the first image, the logo of the film. Its premiere is scheduled for June 17, 2022.
