Saber Interactive knows that there is a large number of fans waiting for World War Z, a title based mainly on the homonymous film by Paramount Pictures. The game was confirmed to debut this year, but the developer updated the launch window.
Now we know that World War Z will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2019. To make the wait less heavy, Saber Interactive presented a new trailer called “The Horde.”
It shows how the game will take advantage of the Swarm Engine’s ability to look spectacular and reflect what we saw in the movie. The video reminds us that the gameplay of World War Z will be intense, because we will be chased by thousands of zombies at the same time.
Saber Interactive introduces us to the hordes of enemies and highlights some aspects of the game, such as the different types of enemies and their gore system.
World War Z will have a cooperative campaign that will take us to various cities around the world, all of them besieged by zombies. So, we will visit Moscow, Jerusalem and New York to learn different stories and overcome dangerous missions.
Saber Interactive will take advantage of procedural technology to offer a different experience in each game session. We know that this story and its characters will be original; however, the game will retain the elements that made both the film and Max Brooks’ book successful.
World War Z will debut next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Without further ado, I leave the video below:
