Two months ago it was officially confirmed that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will return as Ted and Bill respectively in the expected continuation of the 1989 classic comedy Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and its 1991 sequel Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.

But  Bill and Ted Face the Music seems to be in danger of collapsing due to production issues, as Keanu Reeves himself confirmed in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment .

“I do not know if (Bill and Ted 3) it’s a reality,” Reeves said. ““We’ve been trying for a long time to get that film made, and it still has its challenges. I really love the characters, and I think we have a good story to tell. Part of it is show business stuff — financing, rights, deals. Nothing creatively.”

Although the challenges referred to by Reeves may sound minor, we must not forget that Hollywood is an industry that revolves around money, where issues about financing or copyrights tend to take precedence over other interests, such as, a good story.

We can only wait and see if Bill and Ted Face the Music manages to overcome the challenges of production and fulfills its destiny by making its way to the big screen.
