Avengers: Endgame was announced in October 2014 as Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2. The Russo Brothers joined to direct the film in April 2015 and in May Markus and McFeely signed to write the script. In July 2016, Marvel removed the name of the film, referring to it simply as Avengers Untitled Film. Filming began in August 2017 at Pinewood Studios in Fayette County, Georgia, at the time of the shooting of Avengers: Infinity War, and concluded in January 2018. The recording of some additional scenes took place at the center and the metropolitan area of the city of Atlanta.
