Even though the number of people infected by the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grow rapidly, the production of The Batman continues in development, allocating the scenes between the United States and the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, the vast majority of European countries, including the United Kingdom where The Batman is being filmed, are undergoing a second quarantine to prevent the number of infections from increasing.
However, in the middle of all the chaos the film has had to go through, the production has just suffered a new crisis related to the Coronavirus.
According to the portal The Sun, it was recently confirmed that one of the film’s stuntmen tested positive for COVID-19, therefore, he was isolated from the team he was working with on the film.
According to the media, the protagonist of the film, Robert Pattinson is free of peril, but they cannot take the risk and have dire consequences, such as extra delay of filming and the uncertain release date of The Batman. The above will be known in the next few hours or days.
After the news was released, the infected individual was quickly quarantined, who is part of a stunt team made up of ten people. The infected actor will be out for two weeks or so, but it is also understood that the rest of the doubles will not return until after Christmas, as a preventive measure.
Unfortunately, the scenes that were being recorded at the time of the contagion were high-impact scenes and thus, stuntmen were greatly involved, so production will possibly stop until December or early next year. However, no one has come out to confirm this.
This is not the first delay that The Batman has had to go through, since before the pandemic there were certain inconveniences that influenced delays of the film.
