After a sea of speculation about the possible return of the Man Without Fear, Daredevil, to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a new report seems to confirm the character played by Charlie Cox, which we saw in the Netflix series, will make his debut in the Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios film: Spider-Man 3.
According to the official Twitter account of the Murphy’s Universe website, one of the sources known for leaking plans for future superhero movies, Charlie Cox will appear in Spider-Man 3 wearing the Daredevil suit.
According to Murphy’s Universe, Charlie Cox reached an agreement with Marvel Studios to return to put on the costume of the Man Without Fear, a character who won the affection of the public after appearing in a Netflix series, which is considered by many to be the best superhero streaming series in the world.
If the news is confirmed, it would make one of the biggest dreams come true for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who have eagerly awaited the return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil to the Marvel Universe.
The best part is that, if Charlie Cox joins the ranks of the new MCU, he could star in his own solo movie or another series that starts right where the other ended. The latter option is more likely to happen, as Disney Plus could exploit the potential of the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante.
The film rights to Daredevil belonged to Netflix for several years. However, at the end of the month they returned to the Company of the Mouse. Various media assured that Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel Studios, was waiting for this to happen to include his return in a movie or series.
On the other hand, the Spider-Man 3 movie may be the perfect event to integrate Daredevil into the MCU, since, in the comics, both characters have starred in several storylines together, fighting the evils that afflict New York City.
Spider-Man 3 began filming last November, the film is expected to open in theaters on December 17, 2021.
