From a galaxy far, far away will come the new ‘Star Wars’ series for Disney+, which will expand the space franchise in both live-action and animation productions. Part of these projects were unveiled this Thursday, December 10, during the Investor’s Day event organized by the Mickey Mouse company.

The first to be mentioned was the Ashoka Tano show, which will be called ‘Ashoka’ and will star actress Rosario Dawson, who played this character in the second season of ‘The Mandalorian’, it is also mentioned that it will be in the same timeline of the adventures of Mando and Grogu.

For fans of ‘Rogue One’, a behind-the-scenes look at ‘Andor‘, a spin-off / prequel to Cassian Andor, was published, a character played by actor Diego Luna. In the video you can see some details of the sets, costumes and makeup work, all explained by Luna.

Another of the new series of ‘Star Wars’ for Disney +, will be ‘ Rangers of the New Republic ‘, which was not given many details only that it will be the same as’ Ashoka’, because it will share the same chronology as the show of ‘The Mandalorian’.

The Acolyte’ will be yet another show that is described as a mystery thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging powers from the dark side in the waning days of the High Republic era. This one will be created by Leslye Headland.

But the surprises do not end here, it was confirmed that actor Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader for the series ‘Obi-Wan’, who will be joined by actor Ewan McGregor. The story will unfold 10 years after the events of ‘Revenge of the Sith’.

As for animations, the first preview of the ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ series was released, which will tell about the adventures of the wildest and most intrepid team of clones in the galaxy. ‘ Star Wars: Visions’ is another original anime series, short films, where the best creators of the genre from around the world will meet. Its release date is in 2021.

As if that were not enough, Lucasfilm Animation and the special effects company Industrial Light & Magic, will make an animated film titled ‘A Droid Story’, which will relate a story about a droid guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO. It does not have a release date.

And also Lando Calrissian will have his own series entitled ‘Lando’, which will be created by the filmmaker Justin Simien, but there is no more data on the protagonists or their plot. Finally, the director of ‘Wonder Woman’ published a video announcing that she will make a film about ‘Rogue Squadron’, focused on the pilots of the Rebel Alliance.
