God Of War is one of the most memorable Sony video game franchises, with almost a dozen titles made and tens of millions of copies sold around the world, in which a bloodthirsty demigod named Kratos has been altering history in each one.

Now, if you’re a solid God Of War fan and video game film adaptations draw your interests, you might be happy to know that a new ruport is pointing to Sony Pictures developing a movie or series based on the video game.

According to the informant Daniel Ritchman, Sony is about to announce a new project for God of War, to pursue the path that the film Uncharted has been reaping and, the series of The Last of Us. Recintemente, a senior Sony Pictures announced that the company will use the properties owned by the PlayStation video games to release numerous films and a series based on their titles, therefore, a live-action of God of War will be part of their lineup.

So far it is unknown if the new Sony project focused on God of War will be a series or a movie, but the fact that Jason Momoa has been previously reported to be connected to this production, with an adequate beard and physique, the Aquaman actor has been the main prospect to play Kratos, while Dave Bautista was linked to the character, Ares.

Sony Pictures has plans to make three movies and seven television series based on video games, and it is more than obvious that God of War will be one of the franchises chosen. Ritchman assured that there will be an announcement for this project soon.
