It’s becoming increasingly difficult for Marvel to keep surprises and twists that are brewing in WandaVision a secret. After the tremendous spoiler which came from a voice actor, about the return of Quicksilver (Evan Peters), now the Funko Pop of “Pietro Maximoff” makes it clear, with some telltale quotes that, Wanda’s brother is not who he claims to be.

There is more and more evidence that there is a villain in the shadows in WandaVision. Someone other than Wanda herself is controlling what happens in Westview.

And Pietro’s sudden return cannot be accidental. Rumors and theories indicate that it is actually Mephisto, the Devil from Marvel Comics. And while it’s too early to know his true identity, Quicksilver’s Funko Pop appears to contain a major end-of-season spoiler.

The figure itself does not appear to contain any information. Nonetheless, on the box the name “Pietro Maximoff” appears in quotation marks, something unusual for Funko products. Also, the figure’s description reads “is he a real boy?”, which again leads us to believe that, Evan Peters’ character is hiding something.

It may not sound like hard evidence, but it is another hint that leads down the same road, Pietro is actually Mephisto, because if “the devil is into details“, as Agnes claimed in episode 2 of WandaVision, why would they say that about the product?

On the other hand, you might think that the statment refers to him not being “Pietro Maximoff” from the MCU, but rather the X-Men version. However, in the mutant universe the sprinter was called Peter Maximoff, so if the intention was to highlight that small detail in the name change, the correct thing to do would have been to write “Pietro” Maximoff, since the last name did not change.

Either way, the return of Wanda’s brother, in the past few episodes of WandaVision, has given us a lot to talk about. Be it Mephisto, or other villains like Nightmare or Grim Reaper, there is no doubt that he is a chameleon character who will soon reveal his true identity.

To find out who it is, we will have to wait until March 5, when the last episode of WandaVision arrives on Disney +.
