Thanks to deepfake technology, a YouTube channel superimposed the young actress’s face in Star Wars scenes.
Millie Bobby Brown is a young actress who has gained more popularity in recent years. Thanks to her role as Eleven in “Stranger Things”, the 16-year-old British girl has participated in projects such as “Enola Holmes” and “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.”
But can you imagine her as Princess Leia in Star Wars? That is precisely what the YouTube channel Stryder HD did, who superimposed the young actress’s face in scenes from George Lucas’s acclaimed film, thanks to deepfake technology, which has even proven to be more efficient than expensive CGI.
The video was made after most users voted, and wanted to see Millie Bobby Brown in the role played by Carrie Fisher, the popular saga created by George Lucas: “In this specific video everyone voted to see who would play a good Princess Leia Organa in a possibly TV series/prequel in the Star Wars universe and you all picked Millie Bobby Brown”, they added in the description of the publication.
The striking thing about this whole situation is that the young actress bears a great resemblance to Fisher, so the audiovisual edit could very well be accepted as a preview, of what a future film with Millie Bobby Brown as Leia would be like.
