While the second season of The Boys has not premiered, we already have some news for the third, and that is, Jensen Ackles, best known for playing Dean Winchester in Supernatural will be in the third season of the series as the Soldier Boy.

In the comics that inspire the series, Soldier Boy is a parody of Captain America, and the second in command on the Payback team, where Stormfront comes from in the comics. The character is idealistic and very innocent, while also quite scared and silly.

The show’s creator and executive producer, Erik Kripke (who is the same as in the first seasons of Supernatural ) even made a statement about the news (via ComicBook ), saying:

“When I was a child, I had a crazy, impossible dream — to provide Jensen Ackles with gainful employment. I’m happy to say that dream has come true. Jensen is an amazing actor, an even better person, smells like warm chocolate chip cookies, and I consider him a brother. As Soldier Boy, the very first Superhero, he’ll bring so much humor, pathos, and danger to the role. I can’t wait to be on set with him again, and bring a bit of Supernatural to The Boys.”
