This May 4 Lucasfilm announced that the director of Jojo Rabbit and Thor: Ragnarok will lead a project that will be co-written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns (1917).
The rumors were finally confirmed and on this “Star Wars Day” Lucasfilm finally substantiated that Taika Waititi will be directing a new Star Wars movie.
Through the official website of the saga, it was announced that the director of Jojo Rabbit and Thor: Ragnarok will preside over a new installment of the franchise that will be released in theaters on a date that has not yet been announced.
Of course, Waititi is known for his work on the Thor franchise for Marvel Studios, the vampire film What We Do in the Shadows, and Jojo Rabbit, for which he won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay at the latest edition of the The academy awards.
