Recently, Kevin Feige, Marvel’s president, stated that an “unexpected” character from the publisher will be introduced in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

According to the fans, it is possible that this new character in Doctor Strange 2 is Namor, the Submariner.

Keanu Reeves, star of the John Wick franchise, has been rumored for months as the MCU’s Namor. Despite no confirmation, Artist have now speculated how the character might appear in Doctor Strange 2.

In March 2019, former director of Doctor Strange 2, Scott Derrickson, posted on Twitter an image of Namor and Stephen Strange facing off in a 2011 comic book. The tweet was later deleted.

Although not a character commonly associated with Doctor Strange, including Namor in a hero story would make some sense. Namor comes from the city of Atlantis, a magical place that sank into the ocean years before the events portrayed in the MCU.

The Eternals, a Marvel movie, could quite possible tell the story of how Atlantis came to an end, as it will cover stories from several eras.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Namor will actually appear in Doctor Strange 2 – and whether he will be played by Keanu Reeves or not – but everything indicates, as it always has, Keanu can play whoever he wants, and people will love it.
