Can you imagine a live-action movie of God of War? And how Jason Momoa as Kratos himself? He wants it, and the internet is ready to give it him, but obviously the final decision comes down to Sony Pictures.

During a panel which included his followers, Momoa reacted in a surprising way when a fan asked him if he would like to embody Kratos in a hypothetical live-action movie of God of War. The Hawaiian acknowledged that he knows the “type of red and white”, and that he would love to play the character.

Fans have been backing up this idea filling social networks with support toward the actor:

Recently a poster distributed on Facebook portrays the actor as Kratos, in a hypothetical Netflix series that would premiere on July 15. The poster looks sweet, but of course, this information has already been disproved.

What’s On Netflix has confirmed that this poster is nothing but a hoax, and that there is currently no plans dedicated to a God of War series.

“Sorry folks, it’s not happening and you’ve been bamboozled!” said the website. “This isn’t the first time there’s been a social media post spread promoting a Netflix Original series that simply doesn’t exist.”

The last thing that is was known about the adaptation of God of War is that a film was going to be directed by Steven DeKnight (Pacific Rim Uprising). We hope that those plans come to pass and bring the character to the big screen, with or without Jason Momoa.
