During an interview, with the cast of ‘Birds of prey’, in one of the most watched morning shows, the shows host had a considerable lapse. One that is almost unforgivable amongst Nerds, Geeks and especially comic book fans.

Therefore, it is with no surprise that Margot Robbie, the driving force behind this film, to smile disappointedly when the errorhappened. Presenter Michael Strahan called ‘Birds of Prey’ a Marvel movie. Robbie and the rest of the cast, Jurnee Smollet-Bell, Rosie Perez and Ella Jay Basco, were somewhat off-put by the blunder. Robbie is a producer of the DC movie and has a big turnout at every promotional event, so it makes sense why she might have been a bit upset about the mistake.

Strahan was interviewing part of the cast, who are still promoting the latest DC Comics superhero adventure, when he mentioned the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The camera catches the cast and you can easily see Robbie’s face making a small, subtle gesture, almost as if she was muttering something. Suddenly, you can feel the tension building in the interview, and just then, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, who plays Black Canary in the film, interrupts to correct him and make sure he knows, ‘Birds of Prey’ is a DC film, not Marvel. Strahan, clearly ashamed, tries to continue the conversation as best as he can. Below you can see the cataclysmic event unfold.

Margot Robbie does not seem too angry, but it may be a bit annoying if given the mistake of confusing the studio that produced this movie. Normally it wouldn’t be a big problem, but there are some comic book fans who like to provoke Marvel and DC. Marvel Studios has been the big winner at the box office and has many ongoing projects, so it is normal for people to think that most superhero movies are Marvel, although in an interview and show of this magnitude, you have to be more careful.

‘Birds of prey’ is in theaters everywhere, and although it is not expected to be a record debut, it has been predicted that the film will go well at the box office. The first reviews have been exceedingly positive.
