A few days after its debut, the new Netflix series, ‘The Witcher’ became the best series around the world to unseat ‘The Mandalorian’ from the Disney Plus platform.
According to Business Insider, during the week of December 22-28, ‘The Witcher’ uprooted the Disney Plus show as the most popular series in the world and in the United States. The Netflix series captured 127 million ‘demand expressions’ compared to 115 million recorded by ‘The Mandalorian’. The ‘demand expressions’ is the indicator used by the company Parrot Analytics to measure popularity, views and the preference of users.
In November, ‘The Mandalorian’ dethroned the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ after 21 consecutive weeks at the top of the Parrot Analytics list.
‘The Witcher’ opened on the streaming platform on December 20. While ‘The Mandalorian’ debuted on November 12 with the launch of the new Disney Plus platform.
