How do we protect your information?
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and services we operate.
For the MOAN Facebook Connector, these safeguards include encrypted credential storage, restricted authorization scopes, fixed-Page verification, HTTPS connections, owner-controlled write switches, short-lived approval plans, and controls intended to prevent credentials or raw upstream responses from being exposed through connector tools or status pages.
No method of transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Do we use cookies?
The MOAN Facebook Connector uses only essential, time-limited session and security cookies to authenticate the Page owner, protect forms, and complete connector authorization. These cookies are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
The public website and third-party features used by the website may use cookies or similar technologies according to the settings and privacy practices of the services providing those features.
Do we disclose information to outside parties?
We do not sell or trade personal information.
We may provide information to trusted service providers that help us operate the website, conduct our activities, or provide requested services. Those providers may process information only as needed to provide their services and under their applicable contractual and privacy obligations.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, enforce site policies, or protect rights, property, or safety.
Aggregated or non-personally identifiable website information may be used for analytics, marketing, or similar business purposes. This does not authorize the sale or unrelated advertising use of Meta Platform Data processed through the MOAN Facebook Connector.
Meta Platform Data and the MOAN Facebook Connector
The service and its scope
The Mother of All Nerds uses a private, owner-authorized service called the MOAN Facebook Connector.
The connector is restricted to the Facebook Page The Mother of All Nerds, Page ID 1525317741062616. It is not offered as a general Facebook data service and does not allow an operator to select or manage an unrelated Facebook Page.
Meta Page data we receive
When the Page owner connects or uses the service, the connector may receive:
- The Page ID and Page name.
- Page posts and individual post details.
- Public comments and replies on those posts.
- Post and comment identifiers.
- Comment text, reply text, timestamps, and engagement information.
- A commenter’s name and identifier when Meta makes those fields available to the app.
- Page-level and post-level performance insights.
- Identifiers and verification information returned after an explicitly approved Page action.
- Meta authorization information needed to establish access to the fixed Page.
During credential setup, the connector may temporarily process a Meta User Access Token to derive the access token for the fixed Page. The User Access Token is not persistently stored. Only the derived fixed-Page credential is encrypted and stored by the connector.
How we use Meta Platform Data
Meta Platform Data is used only to allow the authorized Page owner to:
- Verify the identity of the MOAN Page.
- Read recent Page posts and post details.
- Read audience comments on the Page’s posts.
- Distinguish commenters and conversation threads when Meta provides commenter identity.
- Avoid duplicate, looped, or misdirected replies.
- Stop interaction when a conversation becomes hostile, inappropriate, or otherwise unsuitable.
- Review Page and post performance insights.
- Prepare and, only after exact approval, send one reply to one verified audience comment.
- Prepare an optional Page photo post for separate review and approval.
Meta Platform Data is not used for unrelated advertising, individual profiling, data brokerage, resale, third-party enrichment, or management of an unrelated Facebook Page.
Data controller
The Mother of All Nerds is operated personally by Cesar Moya.
For Meta Platform Data processed through the MOAN Facebook Connector, Cesar Moya, located in the United States, determines why and how that data is processed and is the responsible data controller.
Service providers
The connector uses the following service providers:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and operates the connector, routes its requests, and stores encrypted credential, authorization, approval-plan, and control records.
- OpenAI OpCo, LLC provides the ChatGPT Work interface through which the authorized Page owner requests connector operations and views returned results.
These providers process information only as needed to provide their respective services and according to their applicable agreements and privacy commitments.
The connector’s verified runtime path does not send or store Meta Platform Data in GitHub, WordPress, or bundled software-provider systems merely because those services or packages are used for source hosting, deployment configuration, website publication, or software development.
Information returned to ChatGPT Work is handled according to the applicable OpenAI service terms and workspace retention and deletion settings. The connector itself does not control copies already displayed or retained within that workspace.
Security and access controls
Access to the connector requires authorization and is restricted to approved connector scopes and the fixed MOAN Page.
The connector:
- Encrypts the stored Page credential at rest.
- Does not return credential material through its public tools or status pages.
- Does not intentionally write credentials, OAuth secrets, or raw Meta response bodies to application logs.
- Uses encrypted HTTPS connections for Facebook and connector requests.
- Separates Facebook read operations from write operations.
- Keeps photo publishing and comment replies behind separate owner-controlled kill switches.
- Requires short-lived approval plans bound to the exact destination and content for controlled write operations.
- Invalidates an approval when its bound destination or content changes.
- Does not expose a general-purpose or caller-selectable Facebook Graph API tool.
Retention and deletion
Page posts, comments, commenter details, and insight responses are fetched when requested and are not persistently stored by the connector as a separate content database.
The derived Page access credential remains encrypted until it is replaced, revoked, or invalidated by Meta.
An unused prepared comment-reply or photo-post approval expires after ten minutes. If a controlled write is attempted, limited approval-binding and outcome information may be retained for up to seven days to prevent duplicate writes and support safe result verification.
Approval bindings may include limited information such as the applicable Page, post or comment identifier, proposed reply or caption, image filename and hash, credential revision, and operation outcome. Image bytes and fetched Page content are not retained as a connector content archive.
Revoking the stored Page credential:
- Removes the encrypted read and photo credentials.
- Disables live reads and write controls.
- Clears pending approval plans and owner sessions.
- Invalidates existing connector authorization grants.
Data already returned to ChatGPT Work remains subject to the applicable OpenAI service and workspace retention controls.
Content retained by Facebook remains subject to Meta’s own retention and deletion practices. The connector does not expose a general Facebook deletion tool.
Questions or deletion requests concerning data controlled by the connector may be sent to nerd1@themotherofallnerds.com.
No sale or unrelated use
We do not sell Meta Platform Data.
We do not use Meta Platform Data for unrelated advertising, profiling, targeting, data brokerage, resale, or enrichment of unrelated third-party records.
Meta Platform Data is disclosed only as necessary to the service providers identified above, when explicitly directed through an authorized connector operation, or when legally required.

The website may include links to third-party products, services, or websites. Those third parties have separate privacy policies and practices. We are not responsible for the content or activities of independent third-party sites, but we welcome feedback concerning links presented on our website.
