Peter Parker is back in flesh and blood! And we still have the animated ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ out in theaters, which is undoubtedly one of the greatest superhero movies in recent years. Sony and Marvel have released the expected first trailer ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home.’

Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his friends travel to Europe during the summer holidays. However, the young superhero can hardly rest: Peter will have to accept a special mission from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to uncover the mystery behind creatures that are causing disasters across the continent…

Obviously, that “mystery” referred to in the synopsis is the villain played by Jake Gyllenhaal, an unusual signing because, as fans know, was close to being Peter Parker himself under the direction of Sam Raimi. Gyllenhaal is a great novelty in a cast that includes, in addition to Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei and Michael Keaton, among others.

And of course, with the special collaboration of Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders, who act as a bridge between this delivery and the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; that role was exercised mainly by Robert Downey in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ but everything seems to point to the fact that the original Avengers end their adventures in ‘Endgame,’ whose premiere is scheduled for April 26. ‘Spider-Man: Away from Home’ hits theaters a few months later, on July 5 .

Also returning to this sequel is the composer Michael Giacchino and the director Jon Watts, who before working for Marvel made ‘Clown’ and ‘Cop Car,’ two humble productions very far from the films based on the Spiderman Comics.
